Republicans, Taxpayers Association, to meet at same time

PICKENS COUNTY—Two meetings aimed at similar audiences will be held 7 p.m. Thursday night at separate locations.

The Pickens County Taxpayers Association will meet at the Farm Bureau Building on SC 178 between Pickens and Liberty.

Sen. Larry Martin is scheduled to be the guest speaker.

The Pickens County Republican Party will meet at the Rosewood Center in Liberty.

Scheduled guest speakers are South Carolina State Treasurer Converse Chellis and S.C. Rep. Rex Rice, who is a candidate for the S.C. District III seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
