The department responded to a structure fire at 218 Lulu Drive at 1:20 p.m. Friday.
A pumper and a tanker responded to the fire. Smoke and flames were coming from a camper used as a fixed structure.
Firefighters had the blaze under control within 10 minutes, then spend 45 minutes on salvage and overhaul operations. There no smoke detectors inside the structure.
The cause of the fire has been ruled undetermined.
Last Thursday, the firefighters responded to a structure fire at 151 Ryan St. at 3:12 a.m.
A pumper truck and a tanker responded to the incident, in which the rear of the structure was already heavily involved when firefighters arrived. The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes. Firefighters spent another hour and a half checking for fire spread and salvage and overhaul operations.
The home was being remodeled at the time, so it was not occupied. There were no spoke detectors in the structure and there were no utility hookups at the time of the incident.
The fire has been ruled as accidental, originating from a controlled fire in the back yard.
Last Sunday Easley firefighters responded to a dryer fire at The Magnolias of Easley on Couch Lane. The fire was extinguished and the building was ventilated.
All residents of the facility were evacuated during the incident by members of the Easley Fire Department, the Easley Police Department and Magnolias employees. The building was checked for fire extension and carbon monoxide prior to the residents being allowed back in the facility.
There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire.
Smoke detectors had alerted the occupants of the building.
