LIBERTY – Gerald Sweitzer, past chairman of Vision 2025 announced during the Jan. 21 meeting that Andrea Garland would be the new administrative assistant for Vision 2025.
Garland will work part-time, approximately 10 hours a week from her home office.
“The need for a staff person has been obvious for years,” Sweitzer said. “We were doing this with all volunteers. The money was there for this year, so we decided to fill the need.”
In order for Vision 2025 to grow, the next step was to hire someone do help with some of the work, Michael Sheriff, Vision 2025 Chairman said.
Garland is homeschooling her two boys. She has the equipment needed for the job in her home office. She also works at Palmetto Baptist Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist.
“We look forward to growing together on this,” Sheriff said. “We are excited about the future and things we will do.”
