UPSTATE – Boy Scouts of America will be celebrating Scout Sunday on Feb. 7 in honor of their 100 anniversary at churches all over the Upstate.

Easley First Baptist, along with many other churches, will have a special ceremony for Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts.

Scouts will wear historic uniforms on stage during a brief presentation to display how scouting has changed over the years, but the core values of scouting have remained the same.

Lt. Daniel Schumacher, USNR, a local Eagle Scout from Easley recently returned from Iraq and will present a flag to the local troop that flew over the headquarters in Iraq. He will also talk about what scouting meant to him as he grew up.
