EASLEY—The Easley Green Wave will host the Westside Rams Friday night, hoping to avenge Westside’s 43-39 win in Anderson Jan. 15.

The loss to the Rams is the only blemish on the Green Wave’s Region 1-AAAA record.

Easley has won four straight since then, and remains in position to claim the region title and ensure the Green Wave home court advantage throughout the state AAAA playoffs.

Easley will play at Greenwood Tuesday, then host Wren next Friday in the regular-season finale.

The Green Wave girls will try to earn their first win in a long season Friday night against Westside.

In other action, Pickens hosts Woodmont in the Blue Flame’s home finale.

The Blue Flame boys fell by 32 at Woodmont earlier this year. The Blue Flame ends its season next week at Western AAA leader Daniel.

The Pickens girls host Woodmont, a team they defeated by 36 on the Wildcats’ home court earlier this year. The Blue Flame girls are still in the race to earn the Western AAA title, and will face league-leader Daniel Tuesday night.

The Daniel boys can wrap up the Western AAA title with a win over West-Oak Friday night. The Lions host Pickens Tuesday, then host Seneca Wednesday in a makeup game.

The Wren boys basketball team will try to break a two-game losing streak tonight at Laurens. Wren is trying to keep hopes alive of earning Region 1-AAAA’s fourth spot in the state playoffs.

Liberty plays a Emerald Friday night.
