EASLEY -- St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will be holding its second annual Oyster Roast 3 p.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, February 13.
Tickets are still available by calling the office of St. Michaels. Adults are $25 and children 12 and under are $10. For those who don’t particularly care for oysters, there will be plenty of heavy appetizers to enjoy as well. A DJ will delight with oldies but goodies and fun is sure to be had by all. St. Michael's expects lots of fabulous music, food, and beverages with plenty of oysters, Brunswick Stew, Chicken Gumbo and heavy hors devours and no one will be left with an ounce of space in their stomach. St. Michael's donates a portion of the proceeds to local community outreach programs. Last year was a very successful event and the church was able to send a sizable donation to Haiti (bread and water project), Free Medical Clinic and Meals on Wheels.
