Camper burns in Easley

EASLEY—Monday afternoon Easley firefighters responded to a blaze in a camper that was being used as a fixed structure at 220 Lula Drive.

One pumper and one tanker responded to the fire at 1:58 p.m. Firefighters had the fire under control within 10 minutes, then spent another 45 minutes on salvage and overhaul operations.

No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported, according to Capt. Barry Bridges of the Easley Fire Department. The Pickens County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene.

The cause of the fire has been rules accidental.
