Candidates must file proper forms including “Statement of Intention of Candidacy” and “Statement of Economics Interests,” and pay their filing fee with their political party.
Local offices on the ballot include probate judge and county council seats 1 and 2.
The solicitor’s position for the 13th Judicial Circuit is up for election, as are State House Seats 3, 4, 5 and 26.
The S.C. Third District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives is also on the ballot.
One of South Carolina’s seats in the U.S. Senate is up for election (the one currently held by Sen. Jim DiMent).
Statewide offices up for election include Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, Comptroller General. State Superintendent of Education and Commissioner of Agriculture.
