EASLEY – Lawrence Joseph LaBoone Jr., 76, husband of Charlotte Lynn Buriss LaBoone passed from this life at his home Friday, March 5, 2010.

Joe was born in Easley a son of the late Lawrence Joseph LaBoone Sr. and the late Cleo Elizabeth Gilliard LaBoone. He was retired from Easley Baptist Hospital after 22 years service. He was a member of Arial Baptist Church and the Men’s Sunday School Class.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his son Joseph Anthony “Tony” LaBoone and his wife Pam of Charleston, SC and step-son Mark Corn and his wife Christine of Easley, and grandchildren Rachel LaBoone and Parker Corn. Also surviving are his sisters Margaret Dacus (Howard) of Asheville, NC, Barbara Smith of Easley and Betty Preston of Charleston, SC.

In addition to his parents and first wife Doris Owen LaBoone, Joe was preceded in death by a sister Marion Owens.

Funeral services will be conducted 4 PM Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Arial Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Parton and Reverend Scott Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the church.
