EASLEY — David Roberts was celebrating in GPS victory lane on Saturday, but a protest which led to a post race technical inspection and a late Monday evening final call did not go in favor of the Simpsonville driver. That awarded the win to Toby Porter, his first of the 2010 season, with Randy Porter taking second.

Roberts led from the drop of the green flag, but on a restart on lap 31, Porter caught Roberts by surprise and took the lead. That lead stood until the final turn of the white flag lap, when Roberts and Porter tangled fighting for the low groove coming off turn four. Randy Porter fishtailed up the track, sending Roberts first over the stripe, with Toby Porter coming around Randy Porter to take second. Randy Porter recovered but settled for a disappointing third place finish after having the lead going into turn four.

The protest by the Randy Porter team led to the post race inspections and the Monday evening final decision that disqualified Roberts and handed the victory to Toby Porter.
