EASLEY — The Easley High School varsity and junior varsity softball teams will play a 50-inning game at West End Field Saturday to raise money for the program.

The game will begin at 10 a.m. Players are seeking donations for innings played.

“The athletic department supports our softball team financially as much as possible, but with ever-increasing costs, there are many items that are not funded,” said varsity head coach Tammy Winchester. “As a result, the softball program has to look for other sources of revenues. The money raised will help fund all softball programs at Easley.

“I am keenly aware of the financial situation many of us find ourselves in, but I sincerely hope you will give careful consideration to sponsoring the event.”

The game will be played in its entirety Saturday. No admission will be charged. For more information, contact Winchester at TammyWinchester@pickens.k12.sc.us.
