“But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you bother the woman? For she has done a good deed to me” Matthew 26:10.

When was the last time you were persecuted or talked about for loving Jesus “out loud?” I sure can remember when I was young in Christ. I didn’t know about doubt only faith. I wanted to love Jesus out loud, and so I did! Jesus was my topic for conversation all the time, and I shared the gospel every chance I got literally. The bible was my main book at home, in the car on trips; wherever ...it went with. My feelings got hurt really badly because of my zeal for Jesus. Someone close to me had called me a bible thumper. I didn’t know how to react to this statement. I didn’t know any better than to share Jesus with everyone I met every time I met them. Maybe I was a little over zealous! I personally don’t think so, but someone else did. I thought that was what I was supposed to do as God’s child. Plus my excitement level was way up! I wanted to share about what I knew in my heart to be true, and how Jesus had changed me on the inside. My desire was for everyone to get saved, especially my family and friends.

I became reserved though for a good long while about sharing the gospel. That should never have happened, it hurt me badly. But you know it does and will continue to happen to God’s children everywhere because its reality and we all will suffer persecution and hurt feelings for our Lord.

We need to not allow that to stop us from being that loving witness for Jesus. Make sure you move when the spirit moves you. It only takes one person to wound another person deeply. We too need to be careful what we say to others. If I could say something was learned from that, it would be that we should listen to the Lord’s voice and not people’s hurtful remarks because Jesus told us we would be mocked and made fun of for Him. Today I don’t let others influence me in a negative way about my Lord, and neither should you? We should just love Jesus out loud. If you have been loving on Jesus and sharing His greatness with others... keep on keeping on even when the persecution come. All the sweet love you share about your savior — it makes Him happy!

Focus- Jesus is the focus!

Tiny Prayer

Lord Jesus, I love loving on You and spreading Your joy. You have taught me the meaning of true love and forgiveness. I pray no one ever lets others decide for them, except You, how and when they share Your great love and forgiveness with another human. Bless Your children today with faith and boldness, but yet humbleness too. Amen
