The annual March of Dimes fundraiser, formerly known as “WalkAmerica,” raises money to help fight birth defects and premature births.
Varios March for Babies teams have been gathering donations for the past several months. The teams will turn in their donations Thursday, when the March of Dimes will have “Bank Day” at SunTrust’s downtown location. Team leaders are asked to make an appointment to turn in funds between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. March of Dimes officials prefer that team leaders turning in large amounts of money make their appointments early in the day.
Registration begins 8:30 a.m. the morning of the walk.
