The fire was under control within 20 minutes. Firefighters spend more time with salvage and overhaul work, according to Capt. J.D. Willis
The residence was heavily damaged.
Two pumper trucks and a service unit were used to fight the fire.
Duke Power shut off the power to the residence and Fort Hill Natural gas responded to turn off the gas.
Officers from the Easley Police Department and the Pickens ounty Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with traffic control.
Representatives of the Pickens County Chapter of the American Red Cross came to serve the victims.
No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported.
The house did not have fire detectors. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.
