EASLEY — The Easley boys soccer team seems to have adopted a theory that is true in almost every sport: If the other team doesn’t score, you win.

The Green Wave notched its third straight shut-out win Friday, topping Westside 9-0.

Easley had previously defeated Laurens 8-0, and Palmetto 6-0.

The Westside win marked Easley’s eighth shut-out of the season.

The Green Wave finished Region 1-AAAA play with a 7-3 record, and carried a 14-3 overall record into Tuesday night’s game against Seneca.

Results of that game were not available at press time.

The Green Wave will advance to the state AAA playoffs, which begin May 11.

Match-ups will be announced at a later date.
