Easley boys, girls soccer teams headed to playoffs

EASLEY -- The Easley High School boys soccer team placed second in Region 1-AAAA and will host Boiling Springs Monday night in the first round of the AAAA playoffs.

Boiling Springs placed third in Region 2-AAAA behind conference champions Mauldin and second place Dorman.

Wednesday night, the winner of the Easley-Boiling Springs game will play the winner of the Northwestern-Blythewood match. Northwestern is the defending AAAA state champion,

The Easley girls soccer team defeated Westside 1-0 in the final game of the regular season to lock up third place in Region 1-AAAA.

The Green Wave will open the playoffs at Dorman Monday night. The Cavaliers finished second in Region 2-AAAA, behind defending state champions Mauldin.

The winner of the Easley-Dorman game will face the winner of the Nation Ford-Spring Valley game on Wednesday.
