Jennifer Nicole Rosenberry, 29, of 108 Nottingham Lane in Easley was arrested and charged with unlawful neglect of a child after several incidents that happened in January, the police warrants stated.
According to warrants, a 9-year-old girl claimed Rosenberry “did grab the victim by the throat with her hand, pick her up and then threw her on the floor.” A dent was left in the child’s head, according to warrants.
Warrants also allege, a second incident happened where Rosenberry “picked up the victim by the throat, then banged her head against the closet door several times before throwing her to the floor.”
Rosenberry was identified as the child’s mother, according to police. The 9-year-olds sister who is 11 years old, told police that she witnessed both incidents, the warrant said.
Rosenberry was released on Wednesday afternoon on a $5,000 bond.
The children were “placed with alternate caregivers under a Department of Social Services safety plan,” the incident report said. Police said they do not suspect the children’s father took part in the incidents.
