Dennis Maurice Temple, 37, was living inside a storage unit at All Safe Storage at 600 Shiloh Road in Seneca, according to police. Temple surrendered to police around 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, they said.
According to the incident report, Temple is accused of forcing the victim into his unit, tying her up and sexually assaulting her while she was dropping items off at her storage unit.
The victim told police that her attacker left the scene in her 2008 Honda Accord, according to the police warrant.
The victim’s car was found on Tuesday in the Sandy Springs Community in Anderson County.
The victim was able to free herself and call 911, according to Oconee Sheriff’s Lt. Greg Reed. She was taken to Oconee Medical Center where she was treated and released after police interviews.
Temple was charged with kidnapping, first degree criminal sexual conduct and grand larceny of a motor vehicle, according to warrants.
Temple had been a wanted since Nov. 2009 after a burglary charge in which he failed to appear in court, police said.
He was held at the Oconee County Detention Center on a 200,000 bond last Wednesday, Oconee County Sheriff James Singleton said.
