EASLEY — Nellie Mae “Nell” Harris Skinner, 90, of South Fourth Street, wife of the late Samuel Max Skinner, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Ben F. and Arcenia King Harris, Mrs. Skinner retired from Saco Lowell Corp. and was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church where she belonged to the Annie Brandt Sunday School Class.

Surviving are a son, Johnny (Millie) Skinner; two daughters, Joan (Pat) Roe and Martha (Ronnie) Lackey all of Easley; six grandchildren, Britt (Robbie) Skinner, Ben (Kim) Roe, Bryan (Robin) Skinner, Pam (Robert) Pickel, David (Stephanie) Lackey and Amanda (Jeff) O’Shields; thirteen great-grandchildren two great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary M. Harris; and a special friend and loving caregiver, Clementine (Tina B.) Orr. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Skinner was predeceased by three brothers, James C., Milton G. and Wilton Harris and by a sister Connice Garrick.

Funeral services were conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Geer Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Archie Sharpe, Rev. Keith Kelly and Rev. Phil McAlister officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
