Born in Olney, Ill., a daughter of the late James Milburn and Betty Albin Eyer, Mrs. Johnstone was a graduate of West Texas State University, a homemaker and a member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Johnstone of the home; a son, James Johnstone of Easley; a daughter, Meredith Johnstone of Easley; and a sister, Jane Poe of Bastrop, Texas.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthias Lutheran Church, 1200 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
The family is at the residence.
