EASLEY - THe host team for the 2010 Big League World Series will be announced 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Larry Bagwell Gym of the J.B. "Red" Owens Recreation Complex.

"You can't name the team until June 15, so we're hitting it right on target," said Gregg Powell, who will return as the team's manager.

The tournament will be held at the Owens Complex July 28-Aug. 4. This will mark the 10th year that the Big League World Series has called Easley home.

Last year the Dominican Republic, representing Latin America, defeated California in the finals, 12-0, to win the World Series.

The host team last won the title in 2007. South Carolina District 7 won the title in 2008.

The host team has won the BLWS title four times since the tournament came to Easley in 2001
