No injuries reported in Monday fire

EASLEY – The Easley Fire Department responded to a house fire on Monday, but there were no reported injuries.

Firefighters arrived at 108 Quiet Acres Lane, Easley at 9:50 p.m. Monday where first responders said they saw a fire showing from the residence, according to a press release.

The residence was a two-story structure and suffered heavy damage to the first floor along with smoke damage to the second floor, according to the release.

Capt. Barry Bridges of the Easley Fire Department reported there were no civilian or firefighter injuries due to the fire.

According to the release, the American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist members of the household. Blue Ridge Electric responded to turn off power at the residence. The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office also responded.

The cause and origin of the fire is currently under investigation by members of the Easley Fire Department Cause and Origin Team and the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, according to the release.
