Gavin Thomas was too much for Powdersville in their season opener on Friday night, leading Seneca’s football team to a 56-35 victory over the Patriots at Ferguson Field.

Thomas piled up 252 rushing for Seneca and scored 3 touchdowns in the victory.

Nasir Waldrop, a talented junior runningback/wide receiver, led the Patriots offense with 124 yards rushing.

Next up, Powdersville will travel to play at Abbeville on Friday night.
