PICKENS COUNTY — The Prevention Department of Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County will host a Virtual Town Hall 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 on Facebook Live.
The topic is the powerful and potentially fatal painkiller fentanyl. Counterfeit pills laced with fentanyl have become a deadly crisis in South Carolina, particularly in the Upstate.
Learn where the drugs are coming from and what amount of fentanyl can be deadly.
Discussion will also include how Narcan can be used to save lives, signs of an overdose and how Good Samaritan Laws can protect those reporting overdose victims.
