CENTRAL — Southern Wesleyan University recently announced they are honored to host the Global Methodist Church (GMC) of South Carolina’s 2026 Behold Conference, an annual gathering of church leaders and members focused on receiving biblical teaching, engaging in Spirit-filled worship, and experiencing authentic fellowship with God’s people.
The event draws believers from across South Carolina for a time of learning, renewal, and connection. The conference will be held August 6–8, 2026.
“Southern Wesleyan University is thrilled to host the Behold Conference in 2026,” said Bill Barker, Ph.D., University President. “This Christ-honoring event is designed to bring believers together for several days of discipleship, encouragement, and spiritual growth, and it is our joy to host our brothers and sisters in the Global Methodist Church as fellow members of the Wesleyan Holiness tradition. We believe God will do powerful work through His people at this conference, equipping Christ-followers to gain a richer understanding of His Word and preparing them to make a difference in our world. We are grateful for the opportunity to show SWU’s hospitality and open our campus to those who attend in 2026.”
“After much prayer and discernment, we are excited to announce that the 2026 Behold Conference will be held at Southern Wesleyan University,” said Erik Grayson, South Carolina Global Methodist Church Conference Superintendent. “We are glad to partner with an institution that is firmly committed to lifting up the truth of the Gospel and shaping young minds to become ministers of the faith in whatever professions they are called to in the future.”
