To qualify for the President’s List, students must earn a 3.75 or higher GPA.
Marilyn Bielmyer of Central, Rebecca Jones of Easley, Jordan Kelley of Easley and Tanya Mann of Easley were among approximately 830 Bob Jones University students named to the Dean’s List for academic achievement during the Spring 2015 semester. POTSDAM, N.Y. — Stuart R. Synakowski of Cleveland, S.C., a junior majoring in applied mathematics and statistics and physics, was named a Presidential Scholar for the spring 2015 semester at Clarkson University. Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.

CONWAY — Several local residents were named to Coastal Carolina University’s President’s honor list for high academic achievement and to the Dean’s List for the Spring Semester 2015.

MARS HILL, N.C. – Four Easley residents were named to the Honor Roll of the Academic Dean at the end of the Spring 2015 semester at Mars Hill University. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 on a minimum of 12 semester hours, and carry no grade below a C.

MUSC’s College of Dental Medicine
CHARLESTON — Daniel Hall, son of John and Lynn Hall and an Easley native, graduated from MUSC’s College of Dental Medicine this spring. Following graduation from Easley High School, Hall attended Wofford College in Spartanburg. After four years at MUSC’s Dental Program, Hall is undertaking a General Practice Residency program with an emphasis in patient comfort and implant dentistry. Following this residency, he will join the dental practice of Dr. James Lynn in Easley.

MACON, Ga. — Bethany Alexander of Six Mile, S.C., was named to the Dean’s List of Mercer University’s Tift College of Education for the spring 2015 semester. Inclusion on this list requires students to meet rigorous grade-point-average standards specific to the college or school within the University.

The South Carolina Corps of Cadets celebrated the graduation of 430 seniors from 34 states on May 9, 2015.
In addition, Christopher Campion of Easley and Andrew Case of Pickens took oaths accepting their appointments as officers in the U.S. armed services.
