PICKENS COUNTY — A 32-year-old Pendleton man was killed on Wednesday in an accident at Keowee Springs Golf Course, according to the Pickens County Coroner’s Office.
Coroner Kandy Kelley said in a release Benjamin Wood, who worked for The Cliffs, was cutting down a tree when he became injured. Additional details were not available.
Wood was pronounced at Cannon Memorial Hospital, she said.
No foul play is suspected and an autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.
The case is being investigated by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, OSHA, and the Coroner’s Office, she said.
