PICKENS COUNTY — Approximately 1,000 students are set to earn bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from Clemson University in August. Doctoral Commencement will take place at 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 8 in the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts. The graduation ceremony for bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates will take place in Littlejohn Coliseum at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 9. Tickets are not required, but graduates are recommended to limit to a maximum of six guests. Doors open one hour prior to doctoral hooding and two hours prior to commencement.
Magnetometers will be in place at all entrances in Littlejohn Coliseum and the facility’s clear bag policy will be in effect for faculty, staff, graduates and guests. The north entrance (off of Ravenel Road) features ADA parking and has wheelchairs available for individuals with accessibility needs. General parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the coliseum.
Guest services is located in Burton Gallery, on the south end of the coliseum. Additionally, stroller/walker check-in is available in the east corner next to Burton Gallery and separate areas for first aid and lactation are also located near the same area.
Graduates are asked to enter Littlejohn at the VIP entrance from the southeast corner of the Avenue of Champions to be directed to check-in with the Registrar’s Office staff. Lineup for the processional is in the practice gym at Swann Pavilion. Graduates process onto the main floor alphabetically by college. Attending faculty interested in taking part in the processional are asked to enter the facility at the VIP entrance from the southeast corner of the Avenue of Champions.
Doctoral hooding and commencement ceremonies will be live streamed by Clemson TV.
