EASLEY — Kala Jansen, media sales consultant for The Easley Progress, The Pickens Sentinel and Powdersville Post, was recently named Ambassador of the Month by the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce.

Jansen received the honor as a result of volunteering for chamber events and activities, as well as her assistance with membership retention efforts. Jansen has a true passion for her job and the communities they serve.

A native of Six Mile, Jansen is a 2002 graduate of Pickens High School. She and her husband have two children, Dillon Jansen and Kinzley Jansen. In addition, her family also has a Jack Russell and two cats.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking, camping and anything outdoors. She enjoys volunteering at her son’s middle school and her daughter’s dance class. She also has a passion for helping the local animal shelters and all the animals in need of a loving forever home.

Jansen is skilled in advertising and marketing with digital and print, allowing her to meet with business owners to help them bring in more opportunities for business.

In her role, she can help businesses develop mobile apps, design websites, or develop retail ads for the local newspaper or websites.

The Ambassadors serve as the Chamber’s volunteer Customer Service Representatives and play a vital role in the Chamber’s membership outreach efforts. Call the Chamber office at 864-859-2693 for more information.
