PICKENS COUNTY — Pickens County Habitat for Humanity (PCHFH) invites neighbors, supporters, and community partners to gather for the Have a Heart for Habitat Dinner on Thursday, September 25 at the Historic Hampton House in Downtown Pickens. The event begins at 6 p.m. and brings together community, celebration, and purpose.

Guests will enjoy an evening of connection, local food, and shared stories while recognizing the individuals and organizations who have made a lasting impact on affordable housing in Pickens County. Volunteer and partner awards will be presented in celebration of the hands and hearts behind recent builds.

“This year’s dinner is about speaking the truth in love,” says Tamara Dourney, Executive Director of PCHFH. “We’ll gather to celebrate the homes we’ve built, the lives changed, and the volunteers who make it possible. But we also need to be honest. This work is getting harder to sustain. If we want to keep building, we need this community to stand with us. Every gift makes a real difference.”

All proceeds from the evening will support Habitat’s essential operations. This includes construction materials, homeowner education, and the coordination of hundreds of volunteers each year. Donations and sponsorships will help ensure that Habitat can continue serving families who are working toward safe, stable, and affordable homeownership.
