Easley Chamber employees honored at annual conference

EASLEY — Two employees of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce were recently honored at the annual Staff Leadership Development Conference hosted by the Carolina’s Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives in Salisbury, N.C.

CACCE represents 122 chambers of commerce throughout North Carolina and South Carolina and is the premier association for leadership and organization development of chambers in the Carolinas.

Each year, CACCE recognizes service award and scholarship recipients for outstanding service and personal achievement to the chamber of commerce profession.

Mary Kay, Membership Services Coordinator, was honored for 10 years of service in the chamber industry.

A native of Easley, Kay earned her business management degree from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, Ga. She began her service with the Greater Easley Chamber in 2005, after retiring from a manufacturing management career with Milliken & Co.

Chrystina Turner, Communications and Special Events Coordinator, was awarded a scholarship to attend the CACCE Annual Management Conference scheduled for October. Joining the Easley Chamber staff in August 2014, Turner is a native of Powdersville and earned her graphic communications degree from Clemson University.

Prior to her position at the chamber, she served as a graphics intern at Green Cloud Technologies and a graphic imaging technologist with Cryovac Sealed Air.

“The true success of any organization is the commitment and talent of its employees,” said Cindy Hopkins, president of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce. “Our chamber is fortunate to be blessed with a staff that’s committed to excellence. We are very proud of both Mary and Chrystina for being honored with these well-deserved recognitions.”
