CENTRAL – Southern Wesleyan finished the Kiawah Island Invitational in a tie for fifth place. The Team shot 573 over the two rounds, three under par.
The Warriors were led by junior Eric Shea. Shea shot a 71 and 65 between the two rounds, finishing with a total round score of 136. His score put him eight under par and allowed him to finish in a tie for 3rd place. Following Shea, Carter Rains finished in a tie for 15th place. Rains shot a 69 in the first round and a 73 in the second to give him a total round score of 142, two under par.
Carter was followed by Noah Mullens. Mullens shot a 76 and 72 for a 148 total round score, allowing him to finish in a tie for 41st place. Seve Anfindsen was right on Mullens’ heels, shooting a 73 and 76 between the two rounds. Anfindsen finished with a 149 total round score to put him in a tie for 49th place. Wrapping up the field for the Warriors, Jackson Whitfield finished in a tie for 61st place after shooting a 74 and a 77 during the tournament.
Southern Wesleyan will next take part in the North Georgia Invitational on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. They will then conclude their fall season at the Miami Intercollegiate on Oct. 21 and 22.
