Jimmy Pilgrim

SIX MILE — Garvin Jimmy Pilgrim, 75, of 1107 Liberty Highway, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Born in Six Mile, he was a son of the late Garvin R. and Lucille Barkley Pilgrim. He was a graduate of DW Daniel High School and later retired from Clemson University.

He loved woodworking and spending time with his family but most of all he loved his only granddaughter with all his heart.

Jimmy was a US Army National Guard veteran and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Janet Whitlock Pilgrim of the home; a daughter, Angela Higgins (Bill) of Easley; two brothers, Danny Pilgrim (Judy) and Steve Pilgrim all of Liberty; his granddaughter, Brooke Higgins of Columbia.

Due to the current health crisis concerning COVID19 and CDC guidelines for social distancing, the family will have a private service to honor Jimmy’s life in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
