EASLEY — A 26-year-old Easley man died Tuesday after getting shot by a pellet from an air rifle, according to the Pickens County Coroner’s Office.

Ryan Douglas Bradford was killed in what the coroner’s office said appeared to be an accident.

At about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, both Coroner Andrew Wilson and Deputy Coroner Marsha Alexander responded to a shooting death at a home in the 100 block of East Terrace Drive, according to a news release.

An investigation showed that Bradford was shot with a pellet gun air rifle at least once in the neck, the coroner’s office said.

No other injuries were reported. There was no word on a motive for the shooting.

Information about who fired the gun was not available and no arrests have been reported.
